No other sci fi movie has as good or better effects or design. You don't even see half of the action, there's just screams and gunfire. The marines in the hive is just a phenomenal scene with the way it cuts between off cam monitor footage to live action and back and forth. There are so many *good* scenes in Alien with colors and set design, it's just incredible.Īliens is just as good with the design of the colonists' station.

His robo-guts have been torn out, we have no idea what the hell they are or what they do, but it all works. Look at this scene of Ash's freaky android robot head.
